Gift a workshop

An afternoon at the wheel, a painted mug, a candle they blended themselves. Something made, not bought.

A gift card from ROA Art is an afternoon rather than an object. The person you give it to picks a workshop, comes to the studio in Ras Al Khaimah, and leaves having actually made something — a bowl pulled up on the wheel, a mug they painted, a candle they blended themselves. Two or three weeks later the fired piece is ready to collect, which means the gift effectively arrives twice.

What a gift card covers

Every price includes clay or materials, guidance from our studio team, glazing and both kiln firings. There are no extras to settle afterwards and nothing to pay on collection.

How it works

1
Tell us the amount or the workshop
Message us on WhatsApp with who it is for and either a specific session or a value. Most people choose a value and let the recipient decide.
2
We send the card
A digital card arrives back, usually the same day, with their name and your message on it. Forward it, print it, or tuck it into something else.
3
They choose a date
They message us when they are ready and we find a slot. All our sessions are by appointment, so nothing is lost by booking later.

What people give these for

Gifting for a team or a group

If the gift is for more than a few people, a group session usually works out better than individual cards. We can host at the studio or bring the workshop to your office anywhere in the UAE, and each person goes home with something they made rather than the same item issued to everyone. That is covered in more detail on our corporate workshops page.

If you would rather give an object

Some people come looking for a handmade piece rather than an experience — a set of cups, a vase, a serving dish, something with a name or a date on it. We make those to order in the studio, with a lead time of about one month from sample approval. You can see what that involves on our bespoke ceramics page.

Common questions

How much is an art or pottery gift card in Ras Al Khaimah?

A ROA Art gift card is worth whatever workshop you choose it to cover. Ceramic painting starts at AED 110 per person, the boutique candle workshop is AED 150, pottery hand building is AED 200 and the pottery wheel class is AED 230. Every one of those prices already includes materials, guidance and firing, so there is nothing further for the person receiving it to pay. You can also set your own amount and let them put it toward whichever session they want.

Can the gift card be used for any workshop?

Yes. The card is not tied to one session, so the person receiving it chooses between the pottery wheel, hand building, ceramic painting and the candle workshop when they message us to book. If they pick something that costs more than the card's value they simply pay the difference at the studio. This is the reason most people give an amount rather than a specific class — it leaves the choice with the person who will actually be making something.

How is the gift card sent?

Digitally, over WhatsApp, usually the same day you ask for it. You get a card you can forward straight to the person, print at home, or put inside a physical present. Tell us the name you want on it and whether you would like a short message included. If you are collecting from the studio in Ras Al Khaimah and would rather hand over something physical, mention it when you order and we will arrange it.

Can I give a gift card to someone who is not in Ras Al Khaimah?

Yes, though it is worth knowing the studio is in Sheikh Khalifa City, Ras Al Khaimah, so they will need to travel here for a studio session. For groups we also bring workshops to you anywhere across the seven emirates, including Abu Dhabi, which is how most gifts for teams and larger celebrations end up being used. Message us and we will work out which format suits.

Tell us who it is for and we will send the card today.
